Description
PRODUCTION AREA: Bardolino Classico (municipalities of Garda, Costermano and Bardolino).
GRAPE VARIETIES: Corvina 60%, Rondinella 30%, Sangiovese 10%.
GRAPE HARVEST: Manual in October, selection of the best grapes placed in crates for brief drying. Soft pressing follows, with ageing of the wine in barriques for about 12 months.
PRODUCTION METHOD: The remaining 50% of the grapes, always selected, are vinified traditionally with maceration for about 15 days and ageing in steel tanks for about 1 year.
AGING: The wine matured in barriques is blended with that matured in steel and left to rest for a short time before being bottled.
COLOUR: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections.
BOUQUET: Elegant, with hints of berries, slightly spicy.
FLAVOUR: Sweet, harmonious with good structure.
ALCOHOL RATE: 14% vol.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18 – 20 °C
